About Bill Bruce:
William “Bill” Bruce, MLA, is the principal in charge of the Knoxville office for CRJA-IBI Group, a Planning and Landscape Architectural firm headquartered in Boston. He has over 30 years of experience in community planning and design and has contributed to the development of over 200 projects throughout the country. His professional focus involves higher education institutes, large scale community development and healthcare facilities. Mr. Bruce co-founded Designing4Health, a consulting firm that specializes in utilizing health data in support of planning and design decisions, recently contributing to the technical content for the newly released American Planning Association’s Guidance for Health in the Development Review Process. He was recently selected with his Designing4Health colleague to present the Health Design Assessment process at the S.C.U.P. International Convention in Vancouver, B.C. Notable higher education projects include the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, West Campus Housing Village; University of Tennessee Campus Streetscape Master Plan; Kennesaw State University Streetscape Master Plan; and University Center at Tulsa University, Master Plan.
