About Carlie Bullock-Jones:
Carlie Bullock-Jones is the founder and managing Principal of Ecoworks Studio and has dedicated her entire career to bringing about a greener, healthier built environment. As a LEED Faculty mentor for the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), and the first WELL Faculty for the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI), Carlie is a highly sought-after speaker and writer for national events and publications. Carlie has made teaching one of her primary focuses, training and inspiring thousands of individuals worldwide. With a passion for sports and sustainability, Carlie is currently the Sustainability Consultant for the new Atlanta Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta United MLS Training Facility and Detroit Red Wings Arena. In 2012, Carlie was inducted by USGBC as a LEED Fellow, one of 77 in the world.

Topic: An Introduction to the WELL Building Standard
Description: Our built environment can shape our habits and choices, regulate our sleep-wake cycle, drive us toward healthy and unhealthy choices, and passively influence our health through the quality of our surroundings. The WELL Building Standard provides the opportunity to design and build with a human-centered approach, which ultimately supports the industry in comprehensively addressing human health. WELL is a performance-based system for measuring, certifying, and monitoring features of the built environment that impact human health and wellbeing, through air, water, nourishment, light, fitness, comfort, and mind. This presentation will introduce the purpose, key components, and structure of the WELL Building Standard. Objective for this session include: Understand the core WELL Building Standard features; Provide and overview of the WELL Certification process; and Provide and overview of the WELL Certification process.
